I do agree, they correlate. The lie is pretending belief is sufficient on its own — that if you believe hard enough, the experience will follow. Between the belief and experience there is still a long way to go.
Like: i believe in fairies and therefore can create story that do exceed realm or reality or that my belief has to be tied to observable and provable aspects? I would say it may be way more simpler. Lie can also be only misinterpretation of presented reality due to lack or experience and therefore it is not even a lie.

I spent a lot of years convinced I was bad at making friends and that other people didn't really like me. I could never seem to turn casual acquaintance into friendship no matter how hard I tried. I also moved every year or so for various reasons, and I never connected the dots until relatively recently. I've lived in the same town now for 7 years and the other night I had a birthday dinner and there were 11 people there. I keep feeling so dazzled by that, like how did I become someone friendable? But of course, I always was, if I would've held still.

Speeding up everything for the sake of greed is how we ended up in this modern mess... with too many lay offs every year just so a bunch of billionaires can get a bit richer every day.
You’re right, speed for its own sake isn’t ambition. Real growth can be painful because you don’t see quick results and it requires a lot of self-discipline and patience, something that nowadays we are chronically lacking - social media can be another excellent example how addicted we became to overnight success stories we see online and quantity over quality. Everything is served today to us on a silver plates and we just don’t appreciate it.
Neither the companies who always seek more at the cost of their own people & same people arent building anything durable.
